    Default 25,803?

I was very impressed with the turnout tonight. But there were not 5,000 empty "seats" tonight

I honestly thought it would be a bit higher after looking at the crowd. Still, I was impressed with the turnout after all that rain. In the past we would've had 14,000 fans today (like the Kansas State game a few years ago).

Didn't see the top, but the bottom indicated more than that. Probably didn't help that they weren't scanning tickets and IDs, just tearing and probably clicking

For this game hardly anyone sat in the wet and muddy grass when normally it's packed with people. That's probably why the crowd looked bigger than it was.

Still very pleased with the crowd.

I'm sure we could inflate the numbers with tarps

Wouldn't 25803 be the largest crowd in techster history or close to it?

I have been to rain games...with under 5000 people. This is a major step up. 30K average for the season not derailed...we just need to bring the wood to get there now.

I mean we played Lamar who started football up 2 years ago, in the rain and we had 25803 in attendance. This is so beyond 2 years ago. Under Coach Bustle we played Troy for a conference championship and 18k showed with great weather. This is pretty good.

Don't forget --the school to the East had a game going on concurrently

-Yes the rain and even more so the post hurricane with people sick of rain

The postponing of HS games that were played today

-A non quality opponent in many eyes (well at least their division)---The impact of the hurricane and its preventing travel because of existing circumstances

Post season, people will only see the 25K plus but with all these factors not producing and coming a long way from the perfect storm attendance factor---That was one great crowd!!!

Both lsu and us were at about 80% of capacity. Really impressive for us given the weather and opponent.

25+ is a damn good turnout considering the weather and last weeks events. The crowds will get bigger and bigger, and winning the way our boys did yesterday will only bring more fans in!

    UL Football Re: 25,803?

I was seated in the chair backs and there were plenty of unused seats all around the stadium. Just looking at it from afar you might think it was packed, but it was not. Then of course you have the empty east side visitor section. McNutt U would have filled that with a thousand people, and 10K virtual people, you know people who are at every function you just can't ever see them.
