Thread: Great expectations

  1. Default Great expectations

After just a week of practice as a true freshman with the UL Ragin' Cajuns, former Breaux Bridge All-State linebacker Tyren Alexander hasn't been very surprised by most of what he's experienced thus far.

The intensity, the special attention to detail by the coaches and the speed of the game have all fallen well within the hot-shot freshman's expectations.

Turbine, will you please explain to me how posting this link is any different than posting a link to any other commercial paysite?

Thanks for the PM.. I was aware of the information it contained, but I just like to vent about the Advertiser becoming a paysite.

They are giving discounts on the monthly home delivery rates when you do direct deductions. I'm just hoping we continue to have daily delivery, and not cut down to 3-4 days a week like the Times Picayune is planning.

Can't wait to see him in person, there's a lot of excitement around this guy's ability. The description from the coaches leaves me thinking "wow". The defense as a whole will be fun to watch.

Never seen him play but sounds like his build/ play will resemble Daylon McCoy.

Probably similar right now, but you have to remember that he is only 17 years old. He will play at a higher level than Daylon and if his size fills out, you'll see him on an NFL roster. Believe it!

Are you BWK pretending to be someone else?

Nope, BK has half the UL offense going to the NFL. But honestly, I think this kid is that good. You also thought I was crazy two weeks ago when I told you he would play this year.... Just get ready, you will all love this guy

Playing this year as freshman are completely different statements don't you think. I did not think you were crazy for stating he would play but rather I felt that he needed a year under his belt to redshirt and get bigger. I would readily admit I'm wrong if he does find his way onto the field this year I absolutely hope he makes a huge impact over his four years here but lets not get ahead of ourselves with the NFL talk just yet.

What happened to him getting significant playing time this year? Maybe I'm not noticing, so please correct me I'm wrong, but it seems he's only getting solid minutes in mop up duty/we're getting our asses handed to us so play the younger guys.

I personally wish he would have red shirted.

Don't know. Ask that marvelous D coordinator of ours. He was saying the same thing at the beginning of the season
