As I got towards the end of the piece, I had images of a few hundred people each picking up a little piece of rope out in the parking lot...and running back into the stadium.

Ha, there were a few thousand. They dropped the rope and they know it. Where I sit, when the Cajuns are losing late, there are these groups of the same people that get up in the 3rd and 4th quarter, look back and smile at everyone, and start moving toward the exits... as if when UL is down and it doesn't look promising... leaving early is a righteous thing to do. I find them extremely annoying.

I went with an employee who lives in Pineville. After the ULM td, I told her we could leave if she wanted to since she had a long ride back. She is from Michigan and this was her first college football game. We are walking across to the student side over the tunnel and the Cajuns start driving. We get to the student side and I tell her let's just watch and see if they score. Cajuns score. I say let's just wait and see if they get the onsides kick. Cajuns get the kick. Cajuns score. ULM can't score and Cajuns win. One of the few times happy that I had a long walk to car or I would have missed the ending. By the way she will be coming to several games this season. She really had a good time and was impressed with game day and the atmosphere.

My daughter that is a student at UL and I were sitting in the student section. A group of students invited us to sit with them at the begining of the game because I was so loud. lol. When we were down by 11, my daughter thought that it was over. I told her there was still time. We didn't leave. And we're glad that we didn't. When we won, I was hugging every student around me and we got invited to sit with them this season. I think that we'll take them up on that invite.

Nice memories.. Its a shame our administration bowed to pressure and changed the the scoreboard from UL vs ULM to Cajuns vs Warhawks...

shows a definite lack of balls on our part..

That does ____ me right off. We're at home. You know if we're playing in Monroe, that board will say whatever they want it to say. I don't know who mentioned what at the game but it does ____ me off that we gave in.

We are still too lovey dovey with everyone. Dont rock the boat, dont be too radical... From T-Joe down to the lunch lady, Its time to kick people in the nads and laugh at em when they are rolling on the ground.
