It's a good debate on the men's side Boomer. Fournette went to the NCAA nationals in the shot put and was a second team all-american. If I'm not mistaken he's only a junior so look for him again next year.

But I won't argue with you about CO being athlete of the year.

I think that othere things come into play and I guess I will stir a few things up---but to push the shot is one thing---to catch a snap and read a defense before and during a play--to run and pass---Also to differentiate between the skilled and all powerful type of athlete is hard to do---That is why Leonard Klienpeter was so good Speed for track---hands and toughness for football---batting and throwing and fielding in baseball (Did I mention stealing and sliding)????

Blaine Gautier deserves it simply because he was involved in more plays, where Green had some good days with multiple catches
and some off days where he didn't contribute much. Therefore, Athlete of the Year goes to Gautier.

I say Blaine because he took a beating this season but he toughed it up during the game and still made plays despite being in obvious pain. It seemed like he did this week after week and you have to respect that effort.
