New Sports Radio Station: 103.7 FM The Game

I am a big NBA fan and I follow the Hornets closely. My company is a big supporter of them and if you ever went to a live NBA game you would be shocked at the quality of athlete those guys are. Therefore, I appreciate it when Scott discusses the Hornets.

The professional game is a game I find hard to like. But just because I do not like it, and I do go to two or three a year does not mean I have a problem with people talking about it.

So if you anyone is an NBA fan...can they explain to me why the playoffs take 3 years to finish? They don't play series during the regular season, so why do it during the playoffs?

Maximize revenue at the gate, and television. Unlike baseball with multiple pitchers this is the same group for at least four and more often than not seven games. Three games surely is enough.

Also a sport the only one I know that the fans think is just above professional wrestling. Nobody trusts the referees, and now it seems the commissioner.

In addition to the points Express made, I think more games give a better idea on who's the better team. It's hard to argue that the two teams in the finals aren't two of the best teams in the NBA.

Ummm... OKC lost the first 2 in the conference finals, did they not? Who was the better team? Clearly, OKC. San Antonio came in red hot and headed home before the finals. The argument against your 3 game series is right under your nose.

Personally, I think they should go "America's Cup" style and make it best 7 out of 13. All you have to do is convince London to move their games back to November, and you're all set. Think of the money they'd make!

As a bonus, this would be super for the BCS championship, too.

I would like to see a college baseball format for Pro basketball in the regular season.

A Fri, Sat, Sun series with a mid week game.

At least then the post season format wouldn't be so far removed from what happened during the regular season.

Disagree. The Squrs played 66 games just like everyone else and had one of the best records. Everyone played full schedule in less time than normal.

Yes, Danny Jones is on from 4-6pm. I listened to the station for the 1st time on the way home last night. I will not be listening to 103.7 much if Jones has any more rants like he did yesterday. In my opinion, he sounded like a total idiot. Rant was about how BCS schools (LSU) should not play FBS or small mid-majors in a non-conference home game. They should be playing weak BCS schools. Then he went on to bashing UL fans for not supporting LSU.

Jones is a UT grad, they don't even believe in sharing TV money with conference members. (Like they could play without an opponent)
