Hicks comes in and gets last 2 outs on a double play.

Couldn't have asked for a better 2 midweek game outcomes. Win a hard-fought game against a quality Houston Cougars team and then man-handle the Cowboys like we should. It's about time our guys got some juice in their bats.

Now let's hope and pray that the rain doesn't stop some good baseball from happening this weekend. That would absolutely suck if games get rained out when the Golden Eagles come to town. Plus, I was excited to show those guys a good crowd... now the weather might suck. Come on Sun, I know you're out there.

    GEAUX CAJUNS!!

Woo Hoo, finally was able to make my first game of the season. Way to geaux Cajuns!!!

I couldn't get over the fact that their lead off hitter was also their catcher/3rd baseman and the young man could not have been over 5'5". The roster shows him at 5'7" but he'd have to be on his tippy toes to reach that height.
Those short little legs sure could speed down the base path.

My personal highlight in last night's game came during the last 37 seconds of the game. Finally got to see my big guy pitch!!!

Hoping to make it to LA for the Sunday home game and will see y'all then

Glad you got a chance to see Matt pitch and glad he got the opportunity. Funny how it worked out because if we didnt give up a couple runs before he came in, he probably wouldnt have thrown.

I'm a big fan of Matt Hicks... loved watching him play for the cutters over the summer!

I was thinking about Matt's delivery. From the start of his windup to the delivery of the ball, it's very fast. After watching Shelbee Rogers pitch last weekend, it reminded me of Matt except underhand.

He's always pitched fast like that and many opposing coaches have complained LOUDLY. At times the batter will try and aggravate him by calling time at the very last second in an attempt to mess up his concentration. His demeanor on the mound is important and Matty does a good job of controlling his emotions on/off the field. But when he's ready to pitch ... he's ready to chunk NOW!

    Personally it makes me nervous.
