I am told that the da had an article regarding negotiations for some new bowl tie ins. Can anyone share some finer points? I don't do business with the daily advertiser. Been screwed too many times.

Are we looking to add more teams for a Conference Championship in the future? It sucks not having a Championship Game who would fit.

Someone at work told me that this Saturday game any child under 12 would be admitted free with an adult. Does anyone know if this is a true fact?

IM reading about that trade school up north crying cause they lost cause of injuries.. crying like little girls because our guys competed to the last second. SCREW them!!! If they could have put 100 poiints on us they would have,.. WE won period and furthermore, after 2 sub par games our guys performed excellent and showed heart !!!! Im am so proud of our team and thanks to coach HUD for putting the wood to that trade school!!!!!! PROUD TO BE LOUISIANA

Louisina Governor Bobby Jindal announced a commitment of $13.9 million in capital outlay funding to build a Center for Excellence in Auto Technology at Baton Rouge Community College.

One of the industries where we expect to see significant job growth is for auto technicians.

Governor Jindal said, “As part of our efforts to keep our kids here at home and grow our economy, one of the key things we look at is what industries are growing and what type of skills our people need to get jobs in those industries. One of the industries where we expect to see significant growth is at auto dealerships, specifically jobs for auto technicians. In Louisiana, recent data shows that there are over 2,700 open auto mechanic and technician jobs in Louisiana, and that number is expected to grow by 17 percent by 2020. Without question, this is a growth industry, but we aren’t filling the positions available right now."

The 60,000-square-foot auto training facility will be located on BRCC’s new East Campus.

At a small event at its Redmond headquarters on Monday, Microsoft at last announced pricing and availability for the highly anticipated Surface for Windows RT tablet — the 32GB base model will cost $499, or $599 with a Touch Cover.

When Microsoft Windows president Steven Sinofsky first began describing the space, he talked about Andriod tablets. In short: The iPad is in Microsoft's head. Microsoft seems to have decided that the tablet is the gateway between mobile and desktop. The tablet runs a stripped-down version of Windows 8, Microsoft's next-generation operating system, without the desktop. A big question about Surface has been its cover / keyboard, the Touch Cover. Microsoft is also offering a 64GB Surface, with Touch Cover, for $699.
